Connect a 12V power supply (5.5 × 2.1 mm plug) to the power input port. Once powered on, the display on the control box will cycle between the ambient temperature and the heater strap temperature.
 
The heater strap will then enter heating mode, automatically warming up to the preset temperature (ambient temperature + temperature differential) and maintaining that differential automatically. (The factory default temperature differential is 20°C.)
